Cancellation & Refund Policy

We have a strict cancellation/refund policy because it's difficult for us to manage last minute cancellations & find a like-minded replacement due to our small group size and strong screening process. If it becomes necessary to cancel your booking, you must notify us immediately by mail on mapmystories@gmail.com. Cancellation will take effect only after we receive the email from you. Following is the cancellation policy:

  • 75+ days prior to departure - 80% of the trip total will be refunded. 

  • 61-75 days prior to departure - 70% of the trip total will be refunded. 

  • 45 to 60 days prior to departure – 60% of the trip total will be refunded. 

  • 31 to 44 days prior to departure – 40% of the trip total will be refunded. 

  • 15 to 30 days prior to departure – 20% of the trip total will be refunded. 

  • 0 to 14 days prior to departure – No refund. 

  • Trip Deposits / Instalment Payments / Partial Payments - No refund. 

Please note that "trip total" refers to the total amount/cost quoted for the journey/tour/itinerary on the respective journey/tour/itinerary page. If the journey/tour/itinerary price is quoted as a package, no partial refunds or credit will be given for services not used. Map My Stories reserves the right to cancel any trip or booking in which case participants will be given a refund in full (including trip deposit). However, you will not be entitled to make any further claim for any injury, loss, expenses or damage (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation (including but not limited to any travel reservation, visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes). We strongly recommend that you book refundable tickets. We also recommend that you obtain travel insurance upon booking.

COVID-19 AND OTHER UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

 Worried that unforeseen circumstances like Govt. lockdowns caused by COVID-19 may affect your chances to travel? Don't worry. On the occurrence of unforeseen circumstances causing us unable to facilitate the journey, Map My Stories will cancel the trip and participants will be given a refund in full (including trip deposit). However, you will not be entitled to make any further claim for any injury, loss, expenses or damage (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation (including but not limited to any travel reservation, visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes). We strongly recommend that you book refundable tickets. We also recommend that you obtain travel insurance upon booking.
